So in this blog, I’m going to share with you 10 lead magnet ideas that you can pick and choose from and create your lead magnet. So that you can start attracting email subscribers.

In this blog, we’re going to go through your lead magnet. All right we’re going to come up with some ideas as to what sort of bribe you’re going to give. And first of all-

What is a lead magnet?

A lead magnet is basically like a giveaway or a bribe, that you can give away to your site visitors. In exchange for their name and email.

These days you can’t just ask them to opt into your list it doesn’t work that way. You need to offer value upfront first, and that way your conversions will be a lot higher.

So, with that said, I’m going to share with you 10 types of lead magnets that you can create. And hopefully, this will stir up some ideas, so you can brainstorm as to what sort of things you’re going to give.

1. Lead Magnet Ideas Short report

Short report

The first type of lead bank that, you can create is a short report. Now here are some examples: five secrets to increasing app downloads, how to travel around the world on a shoestring budget, and how to choose the right equipment for youtube videos.

The point of creating this type of lead magnet is that it should be short. You don’t want to offer a 50-to-100-page e-book. That’ll just overwhelm your subscribers. And they’re not going to get a lot of value out of that.

It’s kind of ironic because you feel like you’re offering a lot of information, details, and knowledge in your ebook.

But in actual fact, it’s going to work against you, which is why I don’t recommend giving away a full ebook to your subscribers.

What you can do is, you can extract maybe one or two chapters out of your ebook as a freebie, or a giveaway report. But these should give you some examples.

2. Checklist/cheat sheet

All right, next, you can create a checklist or a cheat sheet. Some examples are the 10-point checklist for making great coffee, a 21-point checklist for starting a blog, and seven exercises to get rock-hard abs. A checklist or a cheat sheet can be just one page.

All you need to do is just list down the sort of steps and things that the person needs to get that result. This makes, this type of lead magnet very easy to create.

3. Blueprint/mindmap

If you have a five-day course, then you would spread out each lesson over five days. If it’s seven days, then you’d spread it out in seven days, and if it’s a 30-day course then it’s one message every day for 30 days. That’s how you can structure it.

5. Toolkit

Next, you could create a toolkit. Some examples: are the social media managers toolkit, which could include things such as checklists resource a report, and tools.

And what about the weight loss toolkit which could include a plan a calendar a guide and a checklist?

And the affiliate marketer’s toolkit could include a blueprint a guide cheat sheet and a list of top affiliate products that they feel it can promote.

So it’s kind of like an all-in-one package that the subscriber can download right away. And have everything they need to get started.

6. Quick start guide


You can create a quick start guide. Some examples are the quick start guide to profiting from Shopify, the quick start guide to programming PHP, quick start guide to inbox zero.

What makes this type of lead magnet attractive is that you’re using the words quick start guide. People can’t help themselves.

But want quick results. It doesn’t matter what niche, if they want to learn how to do this or they want the result quickly, your quick start guide should be short and sweet.

Somewhere around 5 to 10 pages, the whole point of a quick start guide is not to add any fluff. You need to get down to the meat and add lots of point forms.

7. Swap file/template


Number seven you can offer a swap file or a template. Some examples: the email marketed swipe file- 100 emails you can swipe, the web developers swipe file, and the copyrighted swipe file which could include 10 headlines 10 openings 10 bulleted benefits, and 10 calls to action.

This also makes a great lead magnet. Because in the end, you’re saving your subscriber a lot of time if they’re able to just copy and paste some swipes. Then that’s going to be valuable for them.

You could offer a video. And a video could talk about anything. Here are some examples: five secrets to saving one thousand dollars a month, how to read a book a month, and 10 tweaks that increase conversion rates by 300 percent. Whatever, you may be they’re opting in to receive and watch your video.

You could offer a plan or planner. For example, the 30-day eating plan for natural weight loss, the 7-day plan to double your website traffic, 21-day plan to become a confident speaker. This is an easy lead magnet to create as well.

Let’s say, for example, you’re creating a seven-day plan to double your website traffic. You would simply have one page where it says, day one: do this. Day two: do that. What makes it great is that the subscriber can follow along each day.

10. Resource list


Finally, the last type of lead magnet that you can create is a resource list. This one’s super simple to make.

Because essentially what you’re doing is you’re listing down a list of resources. Here are some examples: 10 free list-building tools, 100 top social media blogs, and the startup’s resource list.

I created my own resource list called the resource cheat sheet. And what I basically list is a list of tools and software that I use in my day-to-day business activities. So, then my subscribers know what sort of tools they can also use in their business.

1. Use an old camera lens to create interesting images.

Use an old camera lens to take pictures of things you find interesting. Most lenses have some sort of distortion effect that adds dimension to objects and makes them look much larger than they really are.

If you don’t want to spend money on buying a new lens, try looking online for a cheap alternative. You could even get creative and use items around the house to create different effects.

2. Create beautiful images with color gels

Color gels are sheets of colored plastic that work great at adding color to any photograph.

You can place them over existing photographs to add more color or you can apply them directly onto the surface of your subject. They can provide a variety of colors and effects depending on what type of gel you purchase.
